The gynecologist Mary Jane Minkin have explained which are the exact symptoms for which we should be worried and are related to menstruation. Most of the girls are already familiar with the PMS symptoms and the quantity of the bleeding, if you notice these 4 symptoms, you might see a doctor or gynecologist.
1.The amount of blood lost maximize
Profuse bleeding could be a sign of many problems, says doctor Minkin and suggests to follow your cycle with applications on your mobile phone. Notice which day how much you have bleed, and if you notice that the amount of the bleeding increases you should see your doctor.
2.The PMS symptoms become very intensive
It seems lately that your PMS have become more intensive? You are irritable, nervous, anxious and depressed? Perhaps, you may suffer from premenstrual dysphoric disorder which appears in 3 to 8 percent of women, and it is about strong PMS. Doctor Minkin suggest to see your doctor and maybe you can start consuming vitamin B6.
3.You have much strong spasms than usual
If you are one of those girls who do not have pain during menstruation, we envy you a lot. But, if you are in our group of women who suffer from strong menstrual pain and spasms, it is alarming sign when they get worse. It could be a sign of endometriosis and you should tell your doctor about it.
4.You think you might have toxic shock syndrome
The toxic shock syndrome is usually connected to tampons, but it is clear how it appears when we have menstruation ( so why would you wear tampons anyway? ). The syndrome itself is extremely rare and dangerous and many girls would not notice it.
‘The women with the toxic shock syndrome have fewer between 38.5 and 39, the skin suddenly blushes and starts to peel’ says doctor Minkin.
If you feel like someone poured boiled water on your skin, see a doctor immediately because this could lead to death.
